The first recorded loop is somewhat special when the tempo is not pre-set. The first loop sets the tempo and usually influences the lengths of subsequent loops by setting the master cycle length. After the first loop is recorded, a glyph appears to its left. Tapping the glyph brings up a panel for refining the first loop. There are two different versions of the panel depending on whether auto loop detection is turned on or not. When auto loop detection is off, the panel lets you refine the loop's start and stop points, the tempo and the beats per bar.
