Loopy Pro's adjust actions are able to save and restore values in addition to assigning values. This makes it possible to create snapshots of parameter settings that can be recalled. By using the adjust parameter ramp slider, you can morph between settings and snapshots. This save/restore capability belongs to the family of actions that have adjust in their names. This includes Adjust Parameter (Clip, Color Group And Audio Source Actions), Adjust Audio Unit Parameter, Adjust MIDI AU Parameter, Adjust Tempo and more.
Multiple Parameters Targets. For Audio Units and Effects, Save/Restore can be done for multiple targets and multiple parameters which can be saved into any of 128 save slots. For example, you can save any (or all) audio unit parameters of any of the loaded audio unit instruments into a slot and recall them at once with a single restore action.
Slots. 128 slots are available for an action to save into and restore from.
How To
How to Save/Restore Parameters
Save and restore parameters can be used anywhere that impulse actions are available. Impulse actions are available for buttons and any sort of non-continuous action (i.e. they aren't available for in a slider's value change block). To add a save or restore action:
- Choose the the adjust parameter action of the desired type, such as Adjust Audio Unit Parameter
- In the panel that pops up, tap on the action type and Save Value
- Tap in the Targets area and choose a target
- Choose the parameter or parameters (multiple parameters can be chosen for only some types of actions such Adjust Audio Unit Parameter or Adjust Effect Parameter).
- Choose additional targets where applicable.
- Choose a Save Slot where the parameters will be saved.
To restore the save parameters, the easiest thing to do is to long-press on the action that saved the parameters and paste that action into the widget where you would like to add the restore action. Tap on the action field and chose Restore Value.
If copy/pasting the save action is not convenient, you create a restore action with the same process that you used to create save action but choose Restore Value rather than Save Value
Morphing. You can use morph between values by setting a ramp time.
Save/Restore of Many Targets and Parameters At Once
The Adjust Audio Unit Parameter and Adjust Effect Parameter actions let you save/restore many parameters at once from one or more plugins. You can even save/restore all parameters of all the targeted plugins. With both of these actions, you can choose which plugins to target. For each plugin targeted, you can choose from all available parameters and save/restore some or all parameters. In some cases, this is the equivalent of saving and recalling presets. Some plugins, however, may save additional state information in presets that is not related to the exposed parameters.

Morphing
You can morph between settings by using a Ramp time when restoring a slot.

Toggle Master Volume With Save/Restore
This tip is for toggling muting of the Master fader volume since as of Loopy Pro, there is not a Mute/Unmute Master action as of Loopy Pro 2.0.1. To create a toggle, there are a few ways.
Method 1 - Button Widget

- Create a button widget.
- As its first action, choose Adjust Master Volume.
- Set the Adjust Master Volume action (in the action setup) to Save Value using Save Slot 1.
- Set the second action to Adjust Master Volume with the action Assign Value with the value set to -infinity
- Set the third action to Adjust Master volume with the action set to Restore Value action suing Save Slot 1.
- Tap on the dot to the left of the third action and set the Timing to Next Trigger.
The widget will alternate between muting the master volume and restoring it to its previous value.

Method 2 - Stepped Dial Widget
- Create a two step stepped dial.
- Call Step 1 Restore Master.
- Set its action to Adjust Master Volume with the Restore action using Save Slot 1.
- Call Step 2 Mute Master.
- Set its first action to o Adjust Master Volume with the Save action using Save Slot 1.
- Set its second action to Adjust Master Volume with the action Assign Value with the value set to -infinity
- Set the dial's Press action to nudge the dial 1 with Wrap Around turned on.
- Choose the Trigger Widget action.
- Select the dial widget itself as the target widget.
- Set the action to scroll and the adjustment to Nudge with Wrap Around turned on.
