Akai MPK Mini Play

From Loopy Pro Wiki

The Akai MPK Mini Play is a popular MIDI Controller. While it has internal sounds, the MPK's USB port provides MIDI only. It does not send audio over USB. To capture the MPK's internal sounds, you need to route its audio output to an audio input device such as an audio interface.

Using the MPK for MIDI

To use it as a MIDI controller:

  • Go to Loopy Pro's mixer.
  • Tap the + sign to add a mixer channel.
  • Choose Add MIDI to add the controller to Loopy Pro's mixer.
  • Route the MIDI to an AUv3 or IAA instrument by tapping on the + sign in the destination slot and choosing an instrument to receive the MIDI.
