Tonestack Pro is a popular multi-effects AUv3 plugin. It offers extensive MIDI control.

Tonestack Pro 1.4 and Later

Starting with version 1.4, there are two flavors of the AUv3 plugin bundled in ToneStack Pro. The MIDI flavor has a MIDI port to which you direct the MIDI to change presets and control effects.

ToneStack Pro 1.3 and Earlier

Prior to version 1.4, the Tonestack Pro AUv3 did not have a MIDI input port. It listened directly to external MIDI devices, the host’s input port and other apps’ virtual MIDI ports. This section describes how to get MIDI to this version of the plugin.

Sending MIDI from Loopy Pro to the ToneStack 1.3 (or earlier) plugin. To send MIDI messages from Loopy Pro to Tonestack Pro by targeting the MIDI at the Virtual MIDI Out port. Inside ToneStack, you can MIDI Learn MIDI sent from Loopy Pro to ToneStack Pro. You can use these MIDI messages to change presets, turn effects on and off and control effect dials and switches. Note that ToneStack Pro reserves some MIDI messages for special uses (such as CC 0). If MIDI learn does not work on a CC message sent from Loopy Pro, try changing the CC number.
